Sunday lovin

Sundays are quite strange days, they just feel so pointless, yet i guess kind of relaxing. Even if something amazing happens on a Sunday, i always have this weird feeling in the back of my mind, like i just shouldn't be enjoying myself, freaky. Anyway, I've done nothing today and i don't have anything to update really, so here's a sort of 'outfit of the day' type picture; nothing special, just lounging around kinda wear ..

Cardigan: Topshop

Top: River Island

Jeans: Abercrombie&Fitch

Shoes: New Look

Winter Kate

I purchased my very first Winter Kate item the other week. It arrived whilst i was still in London, so I had it delivered to a family members house. I had my eye on this jacket when Nicole launched the collection at Selfridges back in February however, I was attending Fashion Weekend and was planning on saving all my pennies for that aha! So anyway, I eventually purchased it the other week and i adore it. It is made of 100% vintage silk and the colours in it are all stunning! (this item is exactly to my taste, a bit different than the ordinary but still very wearable-my style)
I adore Nicole's sense of style, she is one of those people who somehow manage to look amazing whatever they put on. The colours in this jacket are perfect for Autumn, yet I am still able to wear it during Spring and Summer too, due to the light material of this piece. Honestly, grab all yourselves a piece of Winter Kate, you will not be disapointed!
Below are some photos of me wearing the jacket. I know i look ridiculous, especially the way my arms look like a scare-crows aha but i was attempting to show how the jacket falls. I failed at this but who cares, cast yours eyes on this stunning little baby, yummy!

back home from London

I've recently arrived back home from a week in the capital and as always, I had a lot of fun!
There is always so much to see and do down there, with so much going on, you never find yourself bored. I honestly did not know where my time went, the hours flew by (i guess this means i will have to go again shortly!).
Obviously I did the essential tourist sights and whatnot but I also found myself shopping everyday; well, it would have been rude of me not too!
I tend to buy a lot more than i did this year but I am very pleased with my purchases, so I can't really complain.
I guess I went the craziest in H&M. I don't normally shop there for a few reasons- the main one being where I live, we don't have one! Also because I find the quality terrible and most things look very cheap. However at the moment, I can honestly say it is all beautiful and such bargain prices! Also the layout of most H&M stores make me feel like I am searching through a jumble sale, but the one on Oxford Street (nearest Selfridges) was beautifully layed out, as was the one in Knightsbridge.
Topshop really failed me, there was nothing whatsoever that screamed my name, infact, the only thing I did end up buying from there was a cardigan (which i love!)
ZARA is one of my all time favourite stores (we also don't have one near me locally!) so I got a few nice pieces from their too.
My favourite item I purchased was of course my Chloe handbag (the leather smells amazing) I ended up not buying the Paraty because they didn't have it in the beige colour that I wanted it in, so I ended up buying the Margareth which is new for A/W and I have to say, I prefer it to the Paraty now, it has more detail on it, making it look a bit more special.
Again, I have rambled on for way too long, so I shall leave it there :).

poppy print dress

This morning the weather seemed really nice, so i decided to wear my Kate Moss for Topshop poppy print dress as i have a feeling that this will be the last of the summer sunshine we see, minus the odd days here and there!
I'll be packing my case for London soon, getting rather excited now haha!
Also, i have audience tickets for Magic Numbers on August 21st, which is rather exciting, i do hope they have some good guests on! Plus Stephen Mulhern is a bit tasty (in one of them weird kinda ways!)

choices choices ..

So, this time next week, i will more than likely be sitting in my beautiful hotel room, with a nice cup of tea, Chatty Man getting ready to come on and wrapped up in my thick white plush dressing robe! Exciting :) More to the point, i shall be in London all week, yum! Now even more to the point, i'm gonna be shopping! Obviously there are lots of clothing items that i'm going to be buying myself, but this year, i'm after THE bag. I've been longing for my beautiful Chloe Paraty for a very long time now, i believe it will set me back around £950- worth every hundred mind! However, now i've spotted myself the Mulberry Alexa and it's off putting me. Okay, so in the back of my mind there's a voice that's saying go for the Chloe as i know that is the correct thing to do, but the Alexa is only £795, not saving a great deal, but it is still a hot bag! Obviously i'd get it in the same colour as i would my Paraty (beige) but it is just such a hard decision and i for one, can't decide on the simple things. It will have to pass the bag test for me; basically i carry the bag on my arm and look in-front of a mirror and see if it suits me, which ever one looks the best on me, i'll buy, simples. Which one would you go for? Chloe or Mulberry ...

favourite perfumes ..

There is nothing nicer in my opinion than a beautiful scent that you just keep on having to smell. I love it when you go into a big department store, such as Selfridges, and get many samples of different fragrances, and you just have to keep putting the most desirable ones up to your nose to have another waft.
I love it when a scent reminds you of something, perhaps a memorable day, and when they remind you of a person close to you. I also love scents that make me feel clean and fresh.
An example of a perfume that does this for me is Marc Jacobs- Daisy; I love spritzing myself in this when i've just come out of the shower.
I guess my all time favourite though is Chanel- Coco Mademoiselle, it truly is beautiful and perhaps my signature scent and also one i will always have in my collection.
Another is Thierry Mugler- Alien, perhaps not to everyones taste as it is quite a heavy scent, but very distinctive and pretty packaging!
Balenciaga- 10 Avenue George V; this is quite a recent one which i purchased from Selfridges in June. As soon as i sampled it, i had to have it, again, it's quite different and not to my usual taste in perfume. The bottle is gorgeous too, simple, yet classic.
Gucci- by Gucci; I adore this fragrance. Every time i wear it, i always get asked what it is. It is so warming and very long lasting! I find all Gucci fragrances last on the skin a while.
Christian Dior- J'adore; I had longed for this for sometime. A fragrance i had always wanted to own, but somehow, never got round to it, that was until i worked at Boots. Now what Boots do with all the tester perfume that have never been used is sell them to the staff for a measly sum of £2.50 and seeing this perfume up in the staff room, un-used in its box still for such a bargain price, i could not resist. It normally retails between £40-70 depending on the size and as to if it's an eau de parfum or edt. This was the 30ml edp which retailed in boots for £44!
